Let's talk about the WRMK Foil Quill!!!!!

We R Memory Keepers was a new product winner at Creativation 2019 with their Foil Quill.....

and I am loving it!!!!

HSN had it showcased on their March 5th craft event for $59.99 and the day before their show, I went ahead and ordered mine and it arrived this past Friday (the 8th).  I played with it for the first time yesterday and I am quite impressed.

It works with a number of cutting machines and I own three of them....the Silhouette Cameo  3, Cricut Maker and the Brother Scan N Cut.  So far, I have played with it using the Cameo 3 and here is a photo of my first project.

I designed a panel that is 5.5x7.5 inches, so that I can cut it to an A7 or A2 card panel, or even up to a 5.5" square panel that I can use on a card.  I used a couple of  Silhouette America rose files, which I altered and placed on my panel along with three little dots for "fill in".  I used the gold foil that came with the Foil Quill and for my settings, I used a speed of 5 and a pressure of 22 and it came out perfect!!!

I have to say, fellow crafters, that I easily give this product five stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marda's birthday card!!!

I'm afraid my friend Marda got her birthday card REALLY late this year, as her birthday was the 26th of January.  Due to my health issues, Marda knew that it would be late because I had been unable to craft for months.  I have to say though...........better late than never!!!  I actually used a die that Marda gave me for my birthday back in September, to make her card.  Here are some photos:

.....and I'm back!!!!!

At least I sure do hope so!!!  Hey y'all, it's been a rather tough year for me and up until a few weeks ago, I have not been able to craft  for the past six months due to neck pain.  After months of tests and scans, it looks like I have cervical spondylosis, which is a common, age-related condition that affects the joints and discs in your cervical spine, which is in your neck. It's also known as cervical osteoarthritis or neck arthritis. It develops from the wear and tear of cartilage and bones.

I have been seeing a wonderful doctor at the Coastal Spine and Pain Clinic in Fernandina Beach, FL and on the 19th of February he gave me six injections in the back of my neck which got rid of the really bad inflammation that I had at the axis of my neck and spine, which has made a world of difference in the pain I have been chronically suffering.  I have also been going to physical therapy. Thanks to Dr. Miller, I am once again able to design and create my cards and that has made me very happy.  Thank you God for Dr. Miller!!!!!

At any rate, I have managed to design a couple of cards and will be posting them right away, plus I will be trying to post a number of cards that I did design earlier last year and was never able to get them posted to my blog.  Thanks so much for sticking with me during my "down time".....I love all of you!!!
