Happy Birthday, Lisa!!!

This special birthday card is for my Dr.'s nurse, Lisa, who is one of my favorite "Earth Angels"!!!  I had just received an order for some new product that I just love.  It is the NUVO "Embellishment Mousse" and it is ALL that I used on Lisa's card for color!  The card that inspired me was one that I saw on Pinterest that was made by "Sparklygirl-Tina" and I am sorry, but I could not find her blog to direct you to her card.  What do you think of it???

Lisa will not receive her card until tomorrow......I sure hope she likes it!!!

Happy Birthday dear Peggy!!!

My dear friend Peggy just had a birthday yesterday and this is the card that I made for her. My inspiration for this design was from a birthday card by American Greetings that my darling husband gave me years ago.  I had wanted to do something different and this card was a tri-fold and was definitely different from the norm for me!!!  This is what I came up with.

My finished card is 4" x 8 1/2".  Here is a view showing the triple folds.

I had just recently purchased an adorable IO "bow" and decided to use it on the "signature label" and Peggy said it made it look like a package!

I placed this die cut with Peggy's name on it on the envelope.

Peggy loved her card and I loved making it for her.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look and please hurry back!!!

Anniversary Card for Shelley & Robbie!

My sister's youngest daughter's anniversary is actually on Valentine's Day and this year is their 18th, so I thought I would attempt to make her a "keepsake" card.  I actually cased the beautiful birthday card that Peggy Dollar made me this past September........you can see it here!  Her card is stunning and I just love it!!!  I used watercolor paper, gold foil cardstock and some DCWV patterned paper with gold foil!

This is the top half of the card inside.

This is the bottom half of the card inside.

Shelley loved her card and sent me the sweetest message via Facebook and said, among other things, that "I will keep this and treasure it for the rest of my life"!!!  That made me feel so good and so loved!!!

Happy Birthday Janice!

Janice is VERY special to me........she has been my step-daughter for 30 years, which really makes her my middle daughter!!!  This is the birthday card that I made for her this year.  My inspiration for this card came from this YouTube video and I had just recently ordered some 48# vellum cardstock from paperandmore.com which you can find here and I love it!!!  I really love the look of parchment art.  For my design, I used VersaMark, gold embossing powder and then heat set it.  I used my Brother ScanNCut to cut out one of my images and I decided to use the vellum cardstock to make my the envelope.

Janice loved her card and I loved making it for her!  Hurry back!

Marda's Birthday Card!

Marda and I have been very close "online friends" for many years, going back to the days of me being on the Pazzles Design Team and guess what?  She too, has a birthday in January...LOL  For her card, I came up with the idea to use a "mesh grid" on the front of the card and the design gave birth from there, so I decided to design a file to cut with my Cameo.  Here is the end result.

I also designed the "greetings" and for the "BIRTHDAY", I cut it twice, once out of the the card base and then again out of glitter cardstock which I then "inlaid" back into the card base.  Of course, I just had to do some paint "splatters" and add some sequins!  My Memory Box "Climbing Vine" die was way too big for this card, so I scanned a die cut and downsized it and cut it with my Cameo.

For the inside top of the card, I used the negative "leftovers" from the "mesh grid" that were left on my cutting mat.  I just used some "Glad Press'n Seal" to pick them up, add glue and adhere them to the card.

Marda loved her card!!!  I will be back real soon.......so stay tuned!

Happy Birthday to my favorite nurse!!!

Hello everyone!  Lorraine and I became acquainted during the time I was going through the 40 treatments of radiation for "parotid cancer".  She owns a home nursing company and my doctor contacted her when I was so sick from the treatments, to come to my home twice a week, which she did and ultimately, Lorraine and I became dear friends...I just love her!!!  She and her company were there for me after the open heart surgery for my aortic aneurysm and last year after they did eight stents and I don't know what I would have done without her!  This is the birthday card that I made for her!  No casing this time.......this is totally my design!  I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color the graphics.  You can find the free banner graphics here!  I want to note here that I added the "Happy Birthday" on the banner using my Studio software and the Silhouette Pen Tool with my PaperMate EraserMate pen, added embossing powder and heat set it.

Lorraine loved her card!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday to my daughter-in-law!!!

This card is for Nicole, who is married to my youngest son and is the Mother of my two adorable grandsons!!!  Her favorite color is purple, so that made part of my design very easy.....in fact, Chad even gave her a purple Kitchenaid Mixer for Christmas.  I cased this card, which I thought was a genius design!  Here are the photos.

The 1st card of the New Year.....

goes to my wonderful friend Tammy, as her birthday is New Year's Day!!!  I had just recently received the "Spring Flower" stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and was itching to use it, so I decided it was perfect for Tammy's card!  My inspiration for this card came from here.....the minute I saw it, I knew I had to case it!  I loved using my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens to watercolor my flowers!

I just happened to find a patterned paper in my stash that was perfect to make my envelope!

I've just got to say something here about another stamp set that I just recently purchased from "the ton", called "Scripty Greetings" and I just love it....it is one of my "all-time favorite" sentiments sets. It is what is used for the "happy birthday" inside the card and on the envelope.

Well, Tammy loved her card and that made me very happy!  Thanks for looking!
